Rate the areas of your life, choose one that will pull the others up, and plan a first step for the week.
Online version
Everything seems fine, but life feels stuck.
Work has taken over everything else, and you don’t know where to start.
You want to figure out where to put your energy over the next 3 months.
How it works
When we look at life as a whole, the brain gets lost: there is too much of it, and everything seems equally important. The wheel breaks the picture into 8 areas and turns a vague “something’s wrong” into concrete numbers.
The main thing is not to try to raise everything at once. There is usually one area that pulls the others along: when you sleep well, you have energy for work and for the people close to you. That is the one we choose, and then we plan one step for the week. In 3 months you repeat the check and see what has changed.
The life balance wheel is a classic coaching tool. It has not been validated as a test and has no psychometric data: it is a structured self-assessment. Coaching in general shows a moderate effect in meta-analyses.
If almost all areas are at 0–3 and this lasts more than two weeks, it may not be “imbalance” but burnout or depression. Try a self-check or see a specialist.
